Class Correspondents

Class Correspondents are responsible for their class news in the SYA Magazine. They help keep classmates in touch with each other and SYA, and they serve as liaisons for their class reunions. SYA has a strong Class Notes program thanks to the dedication of its volunteers. SYA's alumni profiles, At Home in the World, are often found from news submitted. What better way to market SYA to prospective students by showcasing the strength and success of our alumni!

Class Agents

Class Agents work with the Director of Annual Giving to raise money for SYA's Annual Fund, a critical part of SYA's success and financial well-being. It provides funds for immediate use to meet current needs in virtually every area of operations, including financial aid. The class agent letters are always one of our most successful (if not the most successful) mail appeals, and are absolutely crucial in building high alumni donor participation rate.  This says something important about how a classmate’s words and good name are valued by our alumni — you can touch your classmates’ hearts in a way we cannot.  That’s why we need you to take some time to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and remind your classmates of the importance of giving.

Alumni Ambassadors are from our newest classes of alumni and work with the Admissions Office to promote SYA. Whether as an email representative or an onsite representative at your high school, your ability to share your SYA experience and answer FAQs is a great way to help promote SYA to future students.

Alumni Admissions Interviewers

Reunion Committee Members

Reunion Committee Members offer to organize and assist the Alumni Office with planning their class' milestone gathering.

Regional Gathering Hosts

Regional Gathering Hosts offer to host or help organize an SYA reception in their home or local venue so that members of the SYA community can get together in their respective city to reconnect and reminisce.

Contributing Writers to the SYA Magazine

Contributing Writers to the SYA Magazine write an article or provide an interesting story that can be expanded into an article for the magazine.
